Question

Repeated shutdown

I have been using ID2025 to publish a month;y newsletter, using a previous issue as a template. While preparing the upcoming issue, after deleting prior text, and attempting to add new text, I received an error/shutdown notice. Everytime I restart and open/recover the working document, ID shuts down. How to resolve.

Try deleting the recovery data (it's not working, anyway). You may then be able to pen the last saved version.

BUT, the larger issue here is your workflow. Repetitive publications, ike newsletters, should be mad from a REAL template, not a recycled prior issue, so that each issue is only second generation and the likelihood of minor corruptions accumulationg to the point that the file fails is minimized.

What are your InDesign and operating system versions? Can you post a screenshot of the error message? Does it happen with all documents or only specific ones?
