Replace an image with clipboard

I have a very repetitive task of replacing the images inside existing image boxes with images that I don't have on my computer, but that I right-click > copy image from my web browser. Is there a way to directly replace the image with the contents of my clipboard?

Currently I have to just paste the clipboard onto the page, creating a new image box that I then have to move/resize to fit on top of the old one, and then deleting the old one, which is quite inneficient.

Thank you!

That is a very bad practice. Copy and paste should not be done so.

In your case, I would open the linked image in Photoshop (alt/option key and double click with direct selection tool) and paste the image into the linkjed file and update the link. You might flatten dthe image in Photoshop.
