Replacing an image and keeping the same scale - how ?

Hi

I very often work with multiple similar illustrations (of the same size) setup in Indesign side by side. It is extremely important for my work that they are scaled exactly the same and that their position in the frame is exactly the same - I mean to the point.

This used to be very easy. I would simply create a frame, insert an illustration, scale the illustration and position within the frame, then copy the frame a number of times, and the replace the illustrations in these new frames.

Now, when ever I replace, or even update an illustration to a newer version, the scale and position is reset!

Does anyone have a tip ?

Thanks,

Jens, Denmark
