Indesign has a response time of around 15 seconds. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Do you have "Auto Add Adobe Fonts" turned on in Preferences/File Handling? If so, turn it off and see if it persists. Try logging out of the Creative Cloud app and logging back in.

Use "typical" display settings. Turn off Preflight. Deactivate unused fonts.

All of these have sped up Indesign for me when I've experienced lag.

This problem occurs when switching applications: When in the Finder, for example, you switch to InDesign. It takes 15 seconds to "load".
And it happens again every time you switch windows.
