Question

Retrun to page 1 after timeout

I am designing a multipage digital sign using InDesign. The user can navigate from screen to screen (page to page) using trigger screen arrows and animations.

I am looking for a way to automate a return to page 1 after X seconds of inactivity. Could someone help point me in the right direction?

Thank you.

Piece on JavaScript injected into the PDF - AFTER exporting from InDesign - could do the trick.

No way this is going to be a PDF with "trigger screen arrows and animations."

Touch screen signage and kiosks often use images + mapped touch areas, but that nearly always requires setup in the specific platform tool.

You can draw a button, even animate it, but the platform has to be told what to do with a touch in that area.

This is a function of the display application/technology, not necessarily InDesign. What format will you be using to actually display the sign, and on what kind of platform?
