Ruler guides

Hi

I am at my wit's end here - been trying to fix this problem for weeks, with no working solution.

Working in InDesign - I cannot drag ruler guides across spreads - they only show up on an individual page. 

I have tried everything -

Holding CTRL has no impact.
Settings is set "to rulers per spread".
Resetted all workspaces.
Ruler guides cannot be dragged to pasteboard

Anybody know what the issue is here?

Currently working in InDesign 21.1.0.56
Windows 11

    If you get an alert that your post is a duplicate, change the subject line. I think this has been fixed now and you won’t have to.

     

    A second way to add spread guides is to drag in the pasteboard area. Does that method work for you?

    No, it doesn’t. You can pull it onto the pasteboard but it doesn’t appear. I have literally tried every suggestion that I have found online.
