Running header with Arabic text

The running header consists of english text and an honorific (font KFGQPC Arabic Symbols) at the end.

But the honorific either appears as an english character or as an unrecognised glyph.

I have also tried to apply a grep style to the running header paragraph style, but even that doesn't work.

More details about honorifics can be seen here - https://fonts.qurancomplex.gov.sa/wp02/%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%85%d8%af%d8%b1%d8%ac%d8%a7%d8%aa/

Not really sure how it looks for you - but remember running head variables are treated as singular character and don't mix styles etc.

So you have to set it up with Character Styles instead of Paragraph Styles for your variables.

You can GREP style your Paragraph Style for the English part and the Arabic Part

This then can apply a 'special' character style - which can then be used to trigger a Running Head variable based on Character Styles - then insert 2 running head variables to achieve what you need.

I've had to do this for running headers where the text was bold, italic, mixed styles or just wanted partial running headers.
