Screen blend mode displaying incorrectly

Question

Could use some help on a Blend Mode issue. Whenever I try using Screen to overlay a scanned asset over an image, the object frame still show a low-opacity background box. The background is black so should theoretically disappear, leaving only the white part overlayed on the image. (See object that says SCAN in my screenshot.)

I used to do this in earlier versions of InDesign without issue, but noticed I can't get this background to go away on recent projects. The overlay file is a .psd in RGB mode.

Is there some transparency settining in InDesign which may have defaultedback that I'm missing?

Thanks, I actually just figured it out.  It was Edit > Transparency Blend Space that needed to be switched to Document RBG. Not sure how I missed that in my searching.  Thanks for the help though!

For a color with the Screen Blend Mode to be completely transparent, the black background has to be absolute black, so if your Transparency Blend Mode is set to CMYK use 100|100|100|100 or the Registration swatch. If the blend mode is RGB set the black fill to RGB 0|0|0:
