Screen Flickering Issue in Adobe InDesign After Reinstalling Creative Cloud

I recently reinstalled Creative Cloud and downloaded Adobe InDesign v20.01. However, whenever I move or resize objects, the screen flickers black until the object is placed.

To troubleshoot, I downgraded to the older version (v19.5.1), but the issue persists. The flickering happens regardless of the specific project or settings.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue or knows a fix?

I get it, it can be super inconvenient. Quick questions: What’s your OS? Are you using a second monitor? If yes, HDMI or Type-C? Or is it just the primary screen?

What’s the make and model of your monitor? Also, could you share your system specs (CPU, GPU, and RAM)?

If you’re on a Mac, try turning off GPU Performance (InDesign > Preferences > GPU Performance) and see if that helps.
Also, definitely try the suggestion shared by the expert Mike about removing any desktop management apps like Magnet and check if the issue persists.
