Script for InDesign to Sort Pages Alphabetically

Hi @smnthaboyd, there are many ways to do what you want, but they depend critically on your specific set-up. That's why we all are hoping you can post a demo file with just a few pages. Then we can really help.

What do you mean by 'nametags on pages'? Can you show an example, a screenshot?

Your title says "sort pages" but your question appears to be about "sorting paragraphs". I'm guessing you must have one name per page? 

If this is a data merge activty and each name is on its own page, one option is to sort in Excel and then re-merge. If typed in manually, InDesign does come with a script for sorting by paragraphs: Window > Utilities > Scripts.

If this one doesn't work, we have very talented scripters who will likely be able to give you a hand. In the meantime, please share more infomation about how your file is set up. Screen shots with Hidden Characters visible is very helpful.
