Script to get menu item from a Panel

There are certain panel menu items that do not accept shortcuts. It would be lovely to be able to invoke a Script (which can accept a shortcut) to do this. Did I say lovely? I said lovely.

Case in point: Paragraph Styles Panel Menu > Select All Unused ...

This is just an example of something that you can't shortcut within a Panel menu.

Thank you, John. I'm going to have to scrape to get my idea to work. I used this as an example, but looking at the language you sent, I will try to insert the actual Panel (not Adobe's) and Menu command I am trying to get at. It's different. Crowbar!!!!! My Panel Name is Assignments and my Menu drop-down is update Article Layout. If I can script this properly, I should be able to assign a quick key to the script.
