Scripting in InDesign v18 for Destination URL

Hello,

 

Does anyone know script to create a text frame which hyperlinked to given external website link (destination URL)

    Why do you need script for that? 

     

    What is your end goal?

    Yes, you are right. My end goal is to create thousands of text frames beased on different links. So I need to script to read links from text file and carete text frame for each link. 

     

    Hope you get an idea.

    Almost there...

     

    Where/how the TF's should be placed?

     

    Their style / size / position, etc.

     

    Grid on a page ? One per page? etc., etc.

     

    What will you do the with it - export as a single PDF? Multipage PDF? etc., etc.

     

    If you won't give us as much info as possible - you'll be adding new requests one after anoter - and at some point it may turn out that the whole process can be done differently...

     

    I'm not saying that you'll waste our time - but you'll waste your time, instead of getting right answer asap.
