Question

Scripting language

In what language does one write scripts for ID? I ask because my son is a whiz and probably could write a script setting the default view size to 125%. ID seems to have it set at 90%, which is fine if you're young with good eyesight, but for us old codgers it's a challenge.

Thanks.

There are already scripts and keyboard shortcuts to zoom

JavaScript is what your son would need (although it's not the only language that can be used):

Regardless, what exactly do you mean by the "default view size"? Is it the view size of a new document? In this case, it depends on the document dimensions (and your screen size); InDesign will simply use the "fit in window" zoom.
