SDK and AI - clarification on terms of use

Dear Adobe Developer Support Team, I would like written clarification on whether I may use OpenAI’s ChatGPT/Codex to assist with developing a native plug-in using the Adobe InDesign CC 2026 Windows Plug-in SDK. The plug-in would assign an object style keyboard shortcut across all documents in an InDesign Book. It would use documented SDK interfaces and an ExtendScript user interface. It would not include AI functionality, access Adobe Stock, or identify natural persons. The proposed workflow would involve providing relevant SDK headers, documentation excerpts, and sample code to ChatGPT/Codex for analysis, code generation, and debugging. The purpose would be to develop and test the InDesign plug-in, rather than to create, train, evaluate, or improve an AI model. Before sharing any SDK materials, I would appreciate clarification on the following points: 1.    Does section 6.16 of the Adobe Developer Terms of Use dated June 18, 2024, or any currently applicable equivalent provision, permit this use of an existing AI coding assistant? 2.    May SDK headers, documentation, and sample code be uploaded to an external AI service for this purpose? Does the answer depend on whether the service contractually excludes submitted content from model training or improvement? 3.    Are any materials in the released InDesign CC 2026 Windows Plug-in SDK subject to confidentiality or NDA obligations that would prohibit their disclosure to such a service? 4.    Do any SDK-specific licence terms impose additional restrictions on this workflow? 5.    If permission is required, how can I obtain written authorisation, and what conditions would apply? I understand that section 17.9 specifically concerns Adobe Stock SDKs, APIs, works, and associated metadata. Please confirm whether that provision has any relevance to the proposed InDesign-only development. Please identify the governing terms and their version or effective date. If another Adobe team handles this question, please forward my request to that team. Thanks for your help.

You should be good to use the coding tools for development assistance. The models already must have been trained on the SDK and other data, so it is not something you are doing the first time.
