Select All Unused swatches, drag to trash - InDesign crashes each time

Hello!

Just upgraded to the newest, updated version of InDesign installed on a brand new computer with 32GB of ram and a nice cpu.

I had previously opened this file, done in CS6 (no sub was nice X), and had saved it as the newest version.

It has a bunch of unused swatches on it, including two spot colors that prompted that alert about the license change with Pantone.

I used 'Select all unused' swatches (17 colors, 2 spots), dragged them to the trash can on the Swatches panel, aaaaaand InDesign has crashed twice doing this. The second time it was without the two spot colors.

Repeatable issue - anyone else seeing the same thing?

Aha! I followed someone else's advice on these forums to save the file as an IDML, then save again as INDD, tried once more and everything was fine.

I guess I'll leave this here as a solution for anyone else having this issue.
