Question

Selecting fonts with arrows+enter not always correct

I open the font menue and then start to type in the name of the font. I can scroll down with the arrow keys, so that the font is highlighted, but wen I click enter, it chooses something else. Even typing the full correct name of the font and pressing enter gives me something else. For example I type in 'fira sans' scroll down to fira sans book and click enter but get some other 'fira' font family depening on what was opened last (fira mono or fira sans condensed).

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about this. This definitely is not the usual behavior. I would request if you can try resetting preferences for InDesign and check if that helps:

For Windows

  • Close all Adobe applications.
  • Go to Locations :
  • C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
  • C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Adobe.
  • Rename InDesign folders.
  • Launch InDesign from CC.

For MAC

  • Close all Adobe applications.
  • Close all adobe applications
  • Go to Locations:
  • ~/Library/Caches
  • ~/Library/Preferences
  • Rename Adobe InDesign and com.adobe.indesign
  • Launch InDesign from the CC

Regards,

Srishti
