Selection Tool Not Working - It shows up as a BOX instead??

I wish I could post a picture of this because its so odd but when the Selection Tool (in Indesign) is selected there is a semi-transparent box that shows up instead. No mouse Pointer just a semi transparent box. please help

Thank you for reporting the issue.

We have isolated this issue, it is mainly present on macOS 10.13, and can occurs anytime whenever cursor related functionality being used like placing/drag-drop/selection etc.

We are actively working with Apple on this issue to get it resolved as soon as possible. However, it may not get fixed with the GM build of High Sierra (10.13), but a subsequent Dot Release.

We will surely let our customer know, once we have more information from Apple.

Workaround:

1) Restart InDesign.

2) Revert back to macOS 10.12.6

The issue has finally been resolved with the latest Apple Beta  for 10.13.1

Does this solution work? I tried this fix and the issue still persists. I've recently discovered that if you start-up Indesign and stay working in Indesign there's no issue. However, once you go out of Indesign to check your e-mail or browse the web it makes the box appear. So annoying as the only way to make the box disappear is to restart Indesign.

Meanwhile, if it dint work for you please switch back to OS 10.12 for the time being.

I totally understand that this is hampering your productivity...
