Sending Booklet to Print

I am suddenly having a problem sending a 44-page booklet to my printer.  I have a print run of 250 and it tries to download the resources 250 times instead of once.  Of course, the system won't cope with this and crashes so I have to do a 10-copy run which is frustrating, has an InDesign update caused this?

It might be worth seeing if 48 pages would be better number.

Normally you would supply a PDF (possibly PDF/X-4), as separate pages, and with "Use Document Bleed Settings" ticked and your printer advising wether they wanted crop marks or not.

Alternativley, f your printer has the current version of InDesign you might consider packaging (File > Package) the file and sending them that.

@Derek Cross

OP is "sending" to an in-house printer - not to a "printing house".

Export the project to PDF and print from that. Always a good idea with complex projects (e.g. anything more involved than a memo in Word or an email.)
