Share for Review not updating

All week I have been receiving the "there was an error updating the artifact" message when trying to update content on my share for review link. I have tried creating a new link (and then transferring all comments over) and am still getting the same error. We rely heavily on this for team collaboration on a tight deadline, and this has been a big problem. Please advise for a quick resolution.

Sorry to hear this has been causing trouble, especially with tight deadlines. Could you please confirm the version of InDesign and the details of the OS. As a first step, please try signing out of the Creative Cloud desktop app, then sign back in and relaunch InDesign to see if that clears the update error. If the issue continues, I'd recommend going through the troubleshooting steps shared here: https://adobe.ly/3YyngJ5 and then test again.

It would also help to temporarily switch your network connection, for example by connecting to your phone's hotspot, and check if the Share for Review update works there. 

Additionally, please confirm whether you still see the 'there was an error updating the artifact' message in InDesign, but the content actually updates correctly when you open the review link in a web browser. If that's the case, this is a known issue and is being tracked, as discussed here: https://adobe.ly/4s3RYrb.

I am using InDesign v21.0.2, on a PC, Windows 11. This issue has happened both on my pc in the office as well as my laptop at home. I have seen this issue happen in the past and have the web link still update, but it is not updating the link with this current issue. The link that you sent for troubleshooting is giving me an error as well. I did sign out and then sign back in and am still receiving the same error.

Hello @BJohnsen,

Are you still having trouble with this? If yes, could you try switching to a different network connection and turning off the Firewall/Antivirus (if any) and checking if it helps?
