Control + 0 should make your document fit the screen

Control + Alt + 0 should show you the documents exact size

i have only had CC for a few months and it has never worked.  I am running Windows 10.

Please advise.  Thank you.

    Hi,

You can check what keyboard shortcuts are assigned to the actions using the "Keyboard Shortcuts" dialog box that appears when choose the "Keyboard Shortcuts..." options from the Edit menu. In the dialog box that appears, you can change the Product area to "View Menu" and then verify the keyboard shortcuts that are assigned to different options.

Control+0 would make the Page fit in window

Control+Alt+0 would make Spread fit in window.

You can learn more about shortcuts from Customize menus and keyboard shortcuts in InDesign

If the above does not work you can start by resetting your preferences.Troubleshooting 101: Replace, or "trash" your InDesign preferences

If modifier keys like Shift or Cmd/Ctrl or Option/Alt are not working, it is usually because of conflicting third party software. For example, some Chrome plug-ins have been proven to shut off shortcuts, and there are other software as well. To test, restart your computer with no startup applications and open InDesign first before any other applications.
