since the 2022 update of InDesign I have terrible problems with the performance of indesign. It's Close itself, I can't open any file. Think Twice before update.

I'm sorry to hear you're having those experiences.

 

All is not lost, however.

 

Currently, you can uninstall your InDesign CC 2022 software and re-install InDesign 2021 (v.16.4) through Adobe Creative Cloud. Perhaps this will help you out of your current problems.
