Since upgrading all my InDesign files have become generally slow performing any actions why?

When I select Paragraph or Text in InDesign file It will take time to select and then take time to deselect.Slow performance for each task why?

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that InDesign has become noticeably slower after the upgrade, especially when performing basic actions such as selecting and deselecting text. I understand how disruptive that can be to your workflow.

To help us narrow this down, could you please confirm the exact InDesign version and OS version you’re currently using? Also, please try creating a new blank InDesign document, add some text, and check whether selecting and deselecting text is slow there as well.

For one of the affected documents, please make a copy and save it locally on your computer's internal drive before testing again. If your files or linked assets are currently stored on a cloud-synced location, network/server, or external drive, please let us know.

As another isolation test, try disabling GPU Performance under InDesign Preferences > GPU Performance, restart InDesign, and check the behavior again. You can also compare the behavior using View > Preview on CPU.

Please let us know the results of these tests to move it further.
