Hi there,

I have a project in single color and the issues is one of the letter created in Outline format with gradient and special effects on it results in CMYK in output preview for gradient..

Does this affect the 1 color of the title in printing????

yes, special effects can add colors till CMYK. Show please the Gradient, Color panels and the dialogue windows for you effects.

And Sepatations Preview panel also would be very useful.

Spot colour with a gradient how? Did you use the Gradient Feather Tool or did you create a Gradient swatch?

If you used the Gradient Feather Tool you're creating a transparency which could force it into a 4 colour mode.

Instead - create a gradient swatch with your spot colour.

Yes, gradient feather tool was used. Now change it into swatch with spot color

Almost certainly, unless the preview is wrong. Check your gradient uses only the spot colour and check the effects one by one to see if one forces CMYK.
