Hello,

For my project, I have many indesign document composed of about 125 sheets. Time to export only one document in .pdf or .jpg format is about 6 minutes. Is there a way to speed up this time ?

Perhaps my PC is to old (2014), attached my configuration. I would want to know what compostant to change to speed up the process (Graphic cards ? Processor ?)

Or are there any settings in Indesign to speed up the export ?

Thanks for your help !

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about this trouble. Amount of RAM looks fine. Would you mind sharing a few more details like:

  • Version of InDesign and Windows 10 built
  • What is the file size of these documents.
  • Where are the files being exported (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System /External HDD)?
  • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently.

You may also try the steps shared on this page ( https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/resolve-slow-performance-and-unexpected-behavior-of-indesign/m-p/11487287#M398705 ) and share your observations with us.

This is not so bad. Take a coffee break. I do remember times when PageMaker do package of 200 page-publication for all the working day.

Remember, never say you can't do something in InDesign, it's always just a question of finding the right workaround to get the job done. © David Blatner
