smart guides (german: intelligente Hilfslinien) don't work

Hello guys,

I need your help. I use Indesign CC in german. My smart guides don't work, no matter what I try. They are activated but I don't see any guidelines when I hover over an object. I want to add an ancor point at the intersection of two paths but whenever I click the new ancor point isn't placed at the intersection. I don't see any smart guides at all

Just had this:

Try (in German): Ansicht > Raster- und Hilfslinien > Intelligente Hilfslinien (the latter has to be checked for smart space etc).

Hi,

are you trying to do this on a document page?
Or on the pasteboard? The area around a page?

On the pasteboard smart guides will not work.
( Smart guides working on the pasteboard would be a great feature request. )

Second thing to look for:
Look up the preferences if some or all of the options for Smart Guides are turned off.

With your German InDesign:
Voreinstellungen > Hilfslinien und Montagefläche > Optionen für intelligente Hilfslinien

Make sure the DOCUMENT grid is off, Smart Guides will not show when it is on.

this is not the problem. Smart guides are activated, but don't work anyway.
