Question

Smart Text population?

Hi there, I make a lot of documents for different projects that are all quite similar. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to type a project name somewhere and it will auto-replace/auto-populate all the fields in the document where it is mentioned. From parent page details to cover title and within body copy etc. All the while retaining the relevant type style associated with each location. Thanks.

This might also be a place to use Conditional Text. You would need to have all of the text entered on the pages, but then you can assign conditions and show/hide the conditioned text as appropriate.

You could use a custom text variable, but be aware than variables are considered as single characters, so can't be hyphenated if necessary or breaked on 2 different lines.
