some files not opening

This message appeared when I was about to work on an InDesign file which I had written the last piece 20 hrs. bewfore. Most of my important recent InDesign files also refused to open: 

Can anyone help me please?

    The answer is in the message - I think you are working on a Mac? - there is extra ".icloud" at the end of the file name - try to remove it.

     

    Or your file have not downloaded / synchronised properly with your local machine.

    I am most grateful to you. getting rid of the iCloud was the solution!

      Thank you so much Robert for solving my problem. Yes I am on a Mac and
      getting rid of the iClouds was the solution. It took some time but I am
      back to my InDesign files. I would never have managed without your
      help.Thanks again.
