Sporadic File Saving Issue on Sequoia 15.6.1

I have an odd thing happening a couple times per day at work where when I go to save an InDesign file, I get the beach ball spinning for 4-6 minutes then the error that the file cannot be saved in the current location. I will then save the file to my desktop so I don't lose my work. The file that is left on the server in the location that I cannot save is now locked and cannot be moved, renamed or deleted. At this point I have to have one of our I.T. staff delete the file.

I am working in InDesign 2025 20.5, on a Mac Mini, Apple M4 Pro chip, Sequoia 15.6.1. This does not happen with every file, only once or twice per day. Anyone experiencing this as well and have a work around/solution?

What kind of server is that? A cloud storage, your company network etc?

You may also want to update Sequoia to its latest version, 15.7.

I am on the company network. Not too sure of the details but have never ran into this particular issue in the past.

Can you associate this issue with any software/hardware changes (InDesign or macOS update etc?)

Also, let's see if updating to macOS 15.7 makes any difference.

The problem could also be on your network side, in which case your IT people will have to look deeper into this.
