Has anyone else lost their step and repeat function in Indd 2024?

still working on documents in Indd 2023 but won't work if I open same file in upgrade …

    Haven't upgraded yet - not sure what step and repeat function - can you elaborate on your method?

    Any steps we can follow to recreate?

     

    What OS?

    Common fixes going from file created in version to version

    Old version of InDesign - export to IDML

    New version of INDesign - open IDML

    step and repeat was not working even if I created a new file so was not a 'heritage' issue
    however, it is now working!! very strange as I tried several files (incl new) and had restarted indd it case it was a glitch …

    for ref:
    step and repeat is a command in the edit menu which copies (repeats) text/pic boxes in adjustable quantities and measurements, can be very useful when you need to be accurate

    Yes - there's also another way and some people refer as step and repeat (erroneously)

    But seems to be working now - glad it's ok for you now.
