Still Cant Drag And Drop in indesign.

I have looked at all the posts about "Cant Drag And Drop in Indesign"  which say to reset the preferences, reinstall the software and delete the Cache data, but I'm am still unable to drag and drop images from explorer into a latest updated Indesign CC file. Please help.

It should work fine.

 

It depends on how you are resetting/reinstalling etc.

 

Forgive me if you've already tried - but the instructions below (including the links give a deeper dive into cleaning)


Let us know if the below (and following the instructions in the links) has had any positive results.

 

 

Try resetting your preferences:
The easiest way to reset everything is to delete the InDesign preferences: as soon as InDesign starts to boot hold down Shift, Alt, Ctrl (and Apple/Cmd if working on a Macintosh). A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.

Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the

Hey Eugene

Thanks for the reply,

I have reset the prefereces 3 x times in a row just to be sure.

Reinstalled indesign

Installed on a differenct PC and still there is this issue.

Plus deleted the Folder 17.1 in the user data.

 

I have just reverted back to 16.1 version and that is work just fine.

I have no idea why this is still a problem sorry.

Only thing extra to do is to use the CCC Tool to clean the computer with.

But this should'nt have to be done for every single PC that Indeign 17.1 is install on. As there is a lot of computers in the office I am at. 

This is not practical.
