Hello, we a design company and have designers in several offices. At the moment we store and retrieve files in Dropbox. However, I was wondering whether Adobe has a more elegant way to store, share and collaborate?

No. I rely on Dropbox and OneDrive.

Hi @OceanPrint.co.uk , By store and retrieve do you mean you are manually uploading and downloading files and assets? If that's the case, why not use Dropbox file syncing so the files sync to the collaborator's local Dropbox folders automatically?

Adobe offers a similar file syncing service, although apparently they are going to discontinue it in February.

Thank you. We currently have a Main Archive of files going back 20 years. We use Dropbox to store them. If a custopmer reorder comes in I was wondering what the simplest way to share the files to a designer (at another location) for them to amend and proof then ensure the latest file is then returned to the Main Archive for backup. Perhaps Dropbox is still the best way but I was wondering whether a new whizzy system might be availble that I don't know about.

So assuming the archive is set up as job folders, you can share a specified folder and its contents with another Dropbox user. In this example JobFolder contains the InDesign file and all of its assets. If I right click the folder in my local Dropbox directory (which by default is installed in the system‘s user folder), I have a Share... option where I can send an invite and set editing permissions:

When John Doe accepts the sharing invitation, the JobFolder will sync to their local Dropbox folder. Any edits John Doe makes will sync back to the owner’s local Dropbox folder, and any edits the owner makes will sync to John Doe’s Dropbox folder.

There was but will be discontinued - so only external solutions.
