Story Style

I often edit books with variable formatting in InDesign, and I'm missing one feature that would be very useful: Story Style. Publishers typically want paragraph first lines indented by a variable amount, but they ask me not to indent the first paragraph of each section. Currently, I have to do this manually.
Are the developers considering this feature for future updates?
