Hello,

I have a problem with the all styles (paragraph, text, object, ...). I apply the styles of the text, paragraph and object and I save the document. After, I close the document and Indesign. When, I open the Indesign and the document, and I select the text, paragraph, or objects on the document, none styles is define. The styles are always in sidebar but not linked with the content. The content keep the setting of style that I define in the beginning.

Can you help me please ?

Thanks

baptiste_cHi :

Are text edits being saved? For example, when you open the InDesign file and make a few edits, along with assigning styles, then save, close and reopen, does the document reflect any saved changes? Or none?

Another possiblity is that the stories are linked like InCopy Stories. In such case you have to check out the text before editing.

hello, I think it would be necessary initially to reset the preferences to zero by this method

Set preferences in Adobe InDesign

  • (Windows) Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
  • (Mac OS) While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

Then I would say that attempt a "save as" to see the behavior of the saved file. And then if really nothing works a re installation of Indesign is to consider.
