SVG support in CC Libraries InDesign

What the hell is going on at Adobe? Why would you remove CC Library support for SVG's in InDesign? This just screwed my entire companies collateral with so many people using our icon, logo, and pattern libraries in indesign. I have no words except WTH?

It's a known issue. There is a workaround, though. Check the post at the bottom in this thread:

I agree with @rob day : SVG was developed for HTML and web uses. It's definitely NOT something to using in a print workflow.

Hi @UKG_carter , By collateral do you mean print collateral? SVG is not a great format for print, its color space has to be RGB and it can't have an embedded profile, so its color appearance and output CMYK values are going to change depending on the InDesign document’s assigned RGB profie.

Agreed. I would never use SVG for anything professional. I just used a few as a test when I posted earlier.

Not sure what's up, but it's not entirely pooched. Even though one can't drag an SVG from the library, one can still "Place" it just fine, by right-clicking on the asset in the Library and selecting "Place Linked".

Not really sure here as I don't use SVG files or even the Creative Cloud library  for that matter.

Best place to report bugs or feature requests

You can also rollback to a previous version of InDesign that was working for you - unless there's s specific reason to upgrade I typically never upgrade the software unless i have to.

Rollback to a previous InDeisgn version

Can you let us know what version of InDesign (version number)

Can you let us know your OS and version too?
