Question

Swatch is same value but won't find swatch over entire document to mass change color.

I have a 160 page book that I am switching all my colors to different CMYK values. On the same spread I can select a swatch, add it to the panel and it be the exact same value as the swatch on some other object on the spread and when I go to find that color and replace it with another value, it only finds the one item I had originally added. WHY?!

I'm trying to mass change these colors and they are all the exact same color coding/value but it won't change any of them except the one I had selected to add it's color to the swatch panel.

You can see in the attached screenshot how the two bottom blue swatches are the same values to the point of it making it a "2" on the end but when I select and find to replace to the CMYK swatch above, it won't find it. I have to individually select every item and either manual color it with the eyedropper or add it in the panel and change it to the other swatch I want. Despite them being identical.

You might be making this harder than you need to. If you want to change all the objects using those two RGB blues, simply trash that swatch. It will ask you what you want to do with it: replace it with the new CMYK colour.

Unfortunately, I did forget to state that I already started with this method and it also did not work. So I tried readding the RGB value of the swatch, finding it replacing it but I had also tried deleting it and swapping it with the CMYK swatch. It did not work.
