Synced font leads to blank pages

Just started trying to use TypeKit in most recent version of IndesignCC.

As an example of my problem: I synced the Cordale regular font. At the Typekit site the font shows up as synced to my system. It shows up as synced in Indesign's main Character panel font list and other menus. When I open a paragraph style and select the font from the list of available fonts, the style doesn't throw a warning; but when I save the modified style the text affected by the change disappears. If I try to change the normal font, pretty much everything disappears. Have tried this with a couple of Typekit fonts. The Cordale font info says it is available for Web & Sync...

I'm stumped. Hope you can help.
