Tab in Textfield (alt+tab/ctrl+tab) don't work

I created a PDF Form in InDesign. Textfields are accessible, but I can't insert a tab in my Textfield. According to the support page I should use alt+tab (Mac) for creating a tab in my textfield (in Acrobat Reader/Acrobat DC), the only thing it does, when I use this shortcut is switching to the Tool Menu.

How do I insert a tab in my form(text)?

FWIW: If you try to insert a tab through copy/paste from e.g. a text editor the text form field will be populated with a blank.

You can't insert a tab into a text field manually. It's a reserved key for switching between fields.

Hm. Cannot tell; tried it on Windows 10 and failed. Isn't that an Acrobat Form's question?

Best ask this over there: https://community.adobe.com/t5/Acrobat/bd-p/acrobat
