Tab Key Not Working - Custom InDesign Panel

The Tab key is not working as expected in a custom InDesign panel. When you hit the Tab key it doesn't move the focus from one text field to the next.

I'm using InDesign version 11.1.0.122 on a Mac and Adobe Extension Builder 3.


Any information on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
