Table cells show outside of text frame

I created a table and I want it be contained inside the text frame, and the overset plus sign is missing. I want to control where to place the other cells outside of the text frame. Can you please help? Please see image. Thank you

    You can adjust the table cell width in the Control Panel.

     

    The fact that tables *can* go outside the horizontal bounds of their container is a helpful feature—without it, it would make working with some tables very difficult. So it is up to us to adjust the widths of the cells to the total width we want.

    Select the frame and fit it to its content: right-click, then Fitting, Fit frame to content.
