Hi there

How can I build a table that spreads on a layout that containing two threaded column?

FWIW: My screenshot in reply 4 is showing the situation Vinny is doing with his second screenshot. Two columns in a text frame, not two threaded text frames on the page. The text is running in two columns above the table, then comes the table and then the rest of the text is with two columns again.

Constructions like the one showing in Vinny's first screenshot are only working when the table begins in the left column on a page with two columns.

Uwe

Do you have to work with threaded columns or can you go for multi-column frames (as per Uwe's example)?

It's not the same thing.

Also, please be more explicit about the way the text should flow.

See examples below:

You'll have to be more specific about how you're using tables in a layout to get more help. Also tell us what version of InDesign and what operating system.

Hi Steve

I’m using cc 2018.

I have a page that it’s layout has two column.

On this page I have to build a table.

I want the table to spread on all the spread meaning it should be on both the column of the spread.

Still not on understanding.

Within the columns? On top of the columns and pushing the text away? On top of the columns and covering them up?
