The latest InDesign can no longer export to Tagged Text. Has somebody written a script to replicate the function? I need it sorely!

What made you believe it's removed? Also, did you experience any issues placing InDesign Tagged Text?

As far as I can tell, the option to export to tagged text is available when the type tool is active and the cursor is inside some text. It doesn’t seem to be available when other tools are active.

In error, I took the word of a user I was talking to on the phone 😞

Now that I have returned to my Mac, I see that the option is indeed there as expected.

I use it a lot, having written some Python scripts to import from a csv file to a much nicer InDesign layout. Through the export possibility, I have been able to do some backward engineering; the Tagged Text documentation is fairly basic ...
