Text disappears when on my background but appears again when moved to outside the pages.

Hi,

I am creating text box's to paste text into on my document on in design but it does not show up unless moved to the outside the background. I have tried turning off my GPU, aligning and all that sort of stuff but still no luck?!

Can you see the text frame but not the text? If so, then it is what @jmlevy has mentioned. If you don't see the text frame then the text frame might be behind your background frame or layer?

Check the background frame: I bet there is text wrap applied. Either disable it for your background frame(s) or tick “Ignore text wrap” on the text frame.
