Text frame spacer - how to adjust

Hi,

I am not sure how I set this up or what it is.

Is this a good way to create consistent spacing between a caption and an image frame above? If so how do I adjust it?

Thank you,

Charlie

With the frame selected, choose Object menu > Text Frame Options > General > Inset Spacing. Set the Top spacing to a standoff amount that you like (you might turn off the Make-the-Same chain link icon), and click OK. Even better, turn this into an Object Style that can be applied to many caption text boxes, for productivity.

Depends. If the caption is auto generated then the text area has to touch the picture frame containing the image. In that case you need to use baseline shift. If you are typing r importing the captiosn without using image metadata then yes, this is an excellent way to do it. Use an object style so you can ① apply the style consistently and ② globally alter the style if you need to.
