Text frames

Hello,

I need to create a text frame with some personal information (first/last name) that will be used as a template for other staff in the company. So it has to fit different names and stay at the same spot.

I tried the autofit text option, but am afraid it won't be enough.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Auto Fit can be anchored to one side -- that should make things stay in the same place.

Text alignment can make the text start from the same side of the textbox.

Find the longest name, add some extra space, just in case! use that as your base template.

Data Merge is pretty good option if there are a lot of names, the learning curve isn't that steep.

Can you please show us an example of what you are trying to do?

Sounds like you want to do a data merge. I don't think you need AutoFit.
