Text frames misadjusting text + footnotes

So,

Indesign is fully updated, 15.0.1 and everything.

1) Footnotes are randomly disappearing. The note in the text is still there, but the text at the bottom disappears. I have to play with the size for them to suddenly reappear.

2) Lines get stuck together (see video) preventing me from keeping or separating paragraphs as I would like. My keeping options are off so that's not the problem...
