Text gets jumbled in Adobe Acrobat

Hello,

I've been creating files in Adobe InDesign but when I save as a pdf, some of the text get's jumbled for others that I send the file out to but on my end, everything looks fine. Not sure if it's a coding issue or something else. I've been asking around my department but to no avail.

Looks like someone opened the PDF in Acrobat  Illustrator or the fonts weren't properly embedded. A bit more info, please.

 

What version of InDesign? Have you asked the others how they're viewing the PDF? If not Acrobat, then what? What were your PDF export settings?

    It says Adobe 20.5 x64. A number of people were experiencing the same thing where the text is jumbled. But my team member, like me, only saw jumbled text in the preview, but when we opened the files, the text was fine. What do you mean by pdf export setting? I'd have to check.
