Text ignores text wrap on bezier run around

Hello

I am placing some text into a text frame and fitting it using script. The text is ignoring the text wrap which I have placed on a bezier made shape (please see image below). If open the template after the script has been executed and resize any of the text frames or in fact the runaround shape, the text wraps immediately. Is this a bug?
