Text keeps disappearing

Question

Hello - when I edit text in a text frame the existing text keeps disappearing and I have to scroll up or down to get it back which is incredibly annoying, it is doing it all the time making InDesign practically unusable. I am running Windows 11 on a Microsoft Surface and the latest Adobe Indesign version 20.5. Any suggestions please?! Thanks

Thanks for sharing the details. I would suggest to try chanhing the view to Overprint via View Menu and see if it still persist. If the issue continues, try testing the issue in safe mode to isolate any third-party extension or service and in new admin local user account to isolate account specific issues. It would be great if you could share a short screen recording of the behavior.
