CC 2019 14.0.1 (windows 10 64 bit)

When entering text I am unable to use the backspace or arrow keys on the keyboard to move cursor to modify text. Also missing is the ability to use ctrl-p to bring and other keyboard shortcuts as well.

The previous version had the same problem and when I updated to the latest (thinking it was fixed), the problem remains. I uninstalled & re-installed, problem remains.

Using a Dell Windows 10 PC.

Looking for a way to resolved this.

    UPDATE:

Discovered Microsoft Defender was causing the issue. Had to disable

    their virus protection software.

    Hi there,

We are extremely sorry to hear about the issue. I would request if you can try resetting preferences for InDesign and let us know if that helps: Set preferences in Adobe InDesign.

Please note: Resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folder in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

    Regards,
