Text Variable > Meta Data > Creation Date

I have found lots of posts across the internet about this, but nothing they suggest works.

 

My regional settings (Windows 11) are set to dd/mm/yyyy but InDesign just keeps using US format (mm/dd/yyyy), on an images meta data creation date text variables.

 

If I view the meta data in Windows, LightRoom, Bridge etc. it shows the date in the correct format, just not InDesign, like it's hardcoded to the US format.

 

Any ideas?

    Hi Bob,

    I assume you mean in the paragraph style? If so, English (UK).

    Don't think it's hardcoded:

     

    Day/Month/Year - and that's how my Regional settings are set:

    Hmmm, same settings, although my creation date format in the links panel is slightly different.


    Same behaviour however I put the caption on the screen.
